PROJECTS

WHITE GLOVE ESTATES OFFICE
Working with the team at White Glove Estates, we were able to create a space that showcases their kitchens, closet systems and design details, while creating a functional office space. Minimal yet elegant materials compliment the interesting volumes of the space, with fluted exterior siding setting the clean backdrop, a smoked wood ceiling that draws the guests in and a dramatic textured clay that wraps the interior walls.

CROWNRIDGE
Situated on an incredible site in Sherman Oaks, this mid century home contained many desirable qualities, while lacking many modern amenities such as ensuites for all bedrooms, a master closet, and large sliding door systems to bring the outdoors in while capitalizing on the view. A modest addition to the front of the home, allowed us to massage the plan and create a true master suite with full bath and closet and give the entry a more contemporary take on the mid century aesthetic.

RISING GLEN
From onset of this renovation, the design team focused on maximizing the potential of the restricted and compartmentalized layout, by removing walls to allow for visual continuity with an emphasis on expansive indoor/outdoor relationships. Working with the Owner/Developer Michael Rosenfeld, the design team strived to create a light, yet dramatic appearance with a limited and sophisticated design palette.

LOMA VISTA RESIDENCE - HMDG, INC.
Our conceptual approach to the design looked at creating a sense of lightness, whether by floating the roof on clerestory windows, creating expansive indoor/outdoor relationships through full height pocket doors or by creating relief where materials connect. These design choices and simple materials allowed for the expression of the details and cleanliness of the architecture. Photo credit to HMDG, Inc.

STRADELLA RESIDENCE - HMDG, INC.
Sitting on a limited site, the objective was to create a few key 'wow' moments throughout the home. From walking into a foyer with a 22' ceiling, a master bedroom with a view of Beverly Hills, to custom kebony facades and a personal spa, this house brings the retreat to the homeowner. Sophisticated and warm materials bring comfort to the large and open plan. Photo credit to HMDG, Inc.

HUTTON RESIDENCE - HMDG, INC.
The Hutton Residence sits on a difficult hillside site which created opportunities for interesting sectional relationships. Full height spaces and framed views from all rooms create a visually permeable project with views of Benedict Canyon. A balance of simple materials blended with intricate techniques creates a visually complex and interesting space. Photo credit to HMDG, Inc.

CHALON RESIDENCE - HMDG, INC.
Joining the project late in the construction phase, small design decisions were made and detailed to compliment the architecture. A few elements were added and reworked to create better privacy and expression of the materials.

ALTO CEDRO RESIDENCE - HMDG, INC.
Joining the project late in the construction phase, the design needed some final design decisions to extend the kitchen, rework the approach to the stair design and clean up the exterior deck design and railings to maximize the views from the pool deck and 2nd floor patio. CLOVERDALE RESIDENCES - HMDG, INC.
Two side by side residences were fully redesigned and remodeled and new ADU units were developed at the rear of each property. Focusing on cost effective design and material choices, these new residences in West Adams capitalized on the limited space by going up and creating new opportunities. Photo credit to HMDG, Inc.
